Mounjaro Injection English Guide

At Juniper, we understand that starting a self-injectable medication can feel a little intimidating, especially if it’s new to you. Our goal is to provide clear guidance so you can begin your treatment with confidence.

Every monthly order will provide 4 Mounjaro pens, each providing a single weekly dose of treatment.

Let’s walk through the key steps together.

When to inject with my Mounjaro SD (Single Dose) pen?

  • Inject Mounjaro once a week, on the same day, with or without food.
  • Choose a quiet time when you won’t be rushed so you can follow each step of the injection process carefully.

Where to inject with my Mounjaro SD pen?

  • Injections should go into the subcutaneous (fatty) layer under the skin of your upper thigh, upper arm, or abdomen. Choose an injection site where there is more fatty tissue (for example : the front of your upper thigh rather than the back).
  • Do not inject into an area where the skin is tender, bruised, red, or hard. You should also avoid injecting into areas with scars or stretch marks
  • Rotate injection sites weekly to avoid lumps, hardened tissue, or irritation.

How to inject with my Mounjaro SD pen?

First-time injection can feel overwhelming, but don’t worry. We are here to guide and support you along the way.

🧼 Before Injection

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly.
  2. Inspect the pen before use for any damage and check the medication ; it should be colourless without any cloudiness.
  3. Clean your chosen injection site with an alcohol swab (provided).

💦 Once you are ready, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Remove the grey cap

With the pen still locked, remove the gray cap by pulling it straight off.

🚨 Moving forward, do not in any case attempt to put the cap back on.

Step 2 - Position your pen

Place the clear base of the pen flat and perpendicular to skin surface.

Turn the lock ring to unlock the pen.

Step 3 - Inject the Dose

Press and hold the purple injection button and maintain steady pressure against skin (do not decrease) for at least 10 seconds.

Wait for both the first and second click before removing the pen.

🚨 Maintain firm, steady pressure against skin (do not decrease) to maintain full skin contact without pressing too hard, as it may temporarily block the injection process.

    • A mild leakage does not necessarily mean that your dose will be any less effective.
