セマグルチド（例：ウゴービやオゼンピック）の服用により、心拍数がわずかに上昇することがあります。これは多くの場合、体が薬に慣れていく過程で見られる症状です。研究によると、セマグルチドを使用している患者様は、心拍数が平均して1分間に約10回程度上昇する可能性があると報告されていますが、通常は大きな心配はいりません。
成人の安静時心拍数は、一般的に60〜100回／分の範囲内が正常とされています。
もし再びこのような症状を感じた場合は、以下の方法をお試しください：
- 静かな場所で座ってリラックスする
- 落ち着いて快適な姿勢をとる
- 慌てずに心を落ち着ける（不安は症状を悪化させることがあります）
- 呼吸を妨げるようなきつい服があれば、緩めてください
- カフェイン、エナジードリンク、ニコチン、アルコール、娯楽用薬物などの刺激物は避けましょう（これらは症状を悪化させる可能性があります）
服用後や安静時に心拍数を定期的に確認し、心拍が速く感じる時はその数値を記録しておくと、今後の診察の参考になります。
もし安静時の心拍数が100回／分を超える、または上昇が持続する場合は、必ずご連絡ください。
また、以下の症状が伴う場合は、直ちに服用を中止し、すぐにお近くの救急外来を受診してください。 緊急性が高いと感じられる場合は、119番にお電話ください。 緊急かどうか判断がつかない場合は、#7119（救急相談センター）へご相談ください。
- 動悸を感じる
- 30分以上持続する1分間150回以上の速い心拍
- 息切れ
- 肌が冷たく湿っている
- めまい
- ふらつき
- 失神
- 胸の違和感や痛み
- 顔色や唇が青白い、または灰色に見える
- 甲状腺疾患または心臓病の既往歴がある

A small rise in your heart rate could be a potential effect of taking semaglutide [e.g. Wegovy and Ozempic]. This often happens while your body is getting used to the medication. Research has shown that patients using semaglutide might experience an increase of around 10 beats per minute in their heart rate, which is generally not a cause for concern.
For adults, a normal resting heart rate typically falls between 60 and 100 beats per minute.
If you feel this sensation again, you can take these steps:
- Sit down and try to relax in a quiet place.
- Stay calm and find a comfortable position.
- Avoid panicking, as this might worsen your symptoms.
- You may find it helpful to loosen any restrictive (tight) clothing that can affect your breathing.
- Stay away from stimulants like caffeine, energy drinks, nicotine, alcohol, and recreational drugs, as they might worsen your symptoms.
Remember to check your heart rate regularly, especially at rest and after taking your medication or whenever you notice a faster heart rate. This information will be useful for your review consultations with your Doctor.
Please inform us if your resting heart rate goes beyond 100 beats per minute or if the increased heart rate doesn't go away.
If your higher heart rate comes with any of the following symptoms, stop taking the medication, go to your local Emergency Department immediately. Please call 119 and if you're unsure whether it's an emergency, please call #7119.
- Heart palpitations
- Consistently rapid heart rate exceeding 150 beats per minute for over 30 minutes
- Shortness of breath
- Cool and moist skin
- Dizziness
- Feeling unsteady
- Fainting
- Chest discomfort or pain
- Bluish, greyish, or very pale face or lips
- A history of thyroid disease or heart disease
